Suggestions and Ideas for Fundraising

Raising funds for the Latex Allergy Support Group (LASG)

We have many aspirations:

To improve knowledge in shops and supermarkets to keep sensitised people safer from the risk of contact with latex
To improve knowledge in healthcare of how to protect sensitised patients and staff
To improve knowledge in schools to protect our young people who have or are at risk of developing latex allergy
To be involved at the highest level working with government bodies and industry in the development of better services for people with allergies and low risk products in manufacture

Only with sufficient income will we be able to achieve these aspirations so please, if you are able to, help us to fundraise, or make a donation. If you are a UK tax payer and sign up to Gift Aid your donation, the money will go even further!

Ideas

Make cakes and sell them at work
Run a marathon (or half marathon) and get sponsored
Sell unwanted household items or clothing on Ebay and donate the proceeds to LASG
Ask for excess plants, sown this spring and have a stall at a boot sale
Have a boot sale
Do a sponsored slim or a sponsored swim

These are just a few ideas, and of course there are many more ways of raising money (legally). Why not ask friends to help you and you could great fun at the same time?

Fiona had a latex free fancy dress Hallowe'en party and got donations from her friends, family and guests for LASG. What a great idea. She raised £285 for LASG work. Why not have a candle/Christmas/Thanksgiving party yourselves and raise funds to help achieve the charity's aims?
